The Project/Roster

A relatively new project in South Australia that's driving distance to Adelaide. A large clean well-equipped workshop, highly regarded facilities on site with further inclusions planned.

Even time 7/7 roster (7 days and 7 nights), the rotations and travel would consist of the below;

• 12-hour shifts - start Wednesdays and finish Tuesdays
• DIDO from South Adelaide - Ideal for someone in the Adelaide Hills/Mt Barker region

The Role

Your position as a heavy diesel fitter will see you working in the above ground workshop and assisting in the field/underground service bays with breakdowns as required, machinery consisting of Sandvik and CAT trucks, boggers and development drills plus more.

• Undertaking scheduled and preventative maintenance, repairs, and fitting parts
• Attending breakdowns, fault finding and diagnostic work, and providing technical support
• Working within safety guidelines, policies, and procedures

Your Value

The ideal tradesperson will come from a heavy, civil, road transport or agricultural background - mining experience is non-essential as great opportunity to train and learn within this environment, experienced candidates also desirable.

• Must have a mechanic trade qualification
• Able to adapt to various conditions & environments in the workshop/field
• Hold a valid Australian Drivers Licence
• Work well independently and within a team environment

The Contract & Rates

Marble has a great relationship with the UG mining contractor and supply skilled workers on a temp to perm basis. This role should be viewed and long term and permanent. Transitions to perm after 6 swings.

• Marble contract rates (paid weekly) - $68.00ph - $75.00ph + super (depending on experience)
• Permanent rates with the client - $68.00ph - $80.00ph + super (with pay reviews) (depending on experience)
