This is an opportunity for a Project Manager who enjoys taking genuine ownership of their projects and working closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal teams to deliver successful outcomes.

The Role

As Project Manager, you will take responsibility for the successful delivery of commercial construction projects from pre-construction through to completion.

You will work closely with the Construction Manager, Site Managers, Contract Administrators and broader project team, with responsibility for programme, cost, quality, safety and stakeholder management.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing projects from commencement through to practical completion and handover
• Leading project teams and coordinating Site Managers, Contract Administrators and subcontractors
• Managing project programmes, budgets, procurement and commercial outcomes
• Driving project planning, coordination and delivery
• Managing client, consultant and stakeholder relationships
• Overseeing subcontractor procurement and performance
• Identifying and managing project risks, variations and potential delays
• Coordinating design, documentation and construction activities
• Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards
• Attending site and project meetings, providing clear reporting to senior management
• Maintaining strong relationships with clients and consultants to support repeat business

About You

Ourclient is a T3 Commercial Builder in Melbournes South-East.

You will be an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in commercial construction and a proven ability to independently manage projects through to completion.

Ideally, you will have:

• 5+ years' experience in a Project Manager capacity within commercial construction
• Experience delivering projects across sectors such as education, health, government, community, industrial, retail or similar
• Strong understanding of construction methodology, contracts, procurement and project controls
• Proven ability to manage subcontractors, consultants and project stakeholders
• Strong financial and commercial acumen
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• A proactive approach to problem solving and project delivery
• Relevant construction qualifications
