Prestart Consultant

Are you passionate about residential construction, design and delivering an exceptional customer experience?

We are currently seeking an experienced Prestart Consultant to join a dynamic residential construction team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working closely with clients, has strong product knowledge and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

In this role, you will guide clients through the prestart process, helping them make informed decisions around materials, finishes, fixtures and fittings while balancing design, budget and construction requirements.

About the Role

• Conduct prestart appointments and guide clients through their selections
• Provide advice on products, finishes, upgrades and alternatives
• Build strong relationships with clients through clear and professional communication
• Prepare and maintain accurate selections, variations and client documentation
• Work closely with drafting, estimating and construction teams to ensure selections are practical and buildable
• Identify and resolve potential issues before construction commences
• Manage multiple client files while meeting deadlines and maintaining a high level of accuracy
• Keep up to date with current products, materials, suppliers and industry trends
  
  

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

• Previous experience in prestart, design consultancy or a similar residential construction role
• Strong knowledge of building materials, finishes, fixtures and suppliers
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• The ability to confidently guide and educate clients
• A practical approach to problem-solving and buildability
• The ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams
• Experience using Microsoft Office and relevant workflow or project management systems
  
  

A background in Interior Design, Building Design, Contract Administration or client variations would be highly regarded.
