Entry Level Yardperson/Trade Assistant wanted on an initial 3-month contract for a highly regarded mining contractor in Brisbane.

The company

This well-known, Tier 1 UG mining contractor has been operating in Australia for over a decade and boasts a broad portfolio of development, ground support and production contracts on a national basis. They're currently in the busiest period in the company's history, driving strong demand for support staff to keep the workshop running smoothly.

Working out of their large Eagle Farm facility, you'll support the workshop team with general yard duties, machine prep, and hands-on assistance to tradespeople during the busiest period in the company's history. A great foot-in-the-door opportunity for someone keen to build a long-term career in the industry.

The role

• Initial 3-month contract with view to extend
• General housekeeping and yard maintenance
• Forklift work and general machinery operation
• Assisting tradesmen with day-to-day tasks across the workshop
• Cleaning up operating areas to maintain a safe, tidy work environment
• Washing and preparing machines, including detailing and applying stickers/decals
• Mowing and general grounds maintenance
• General yard duties as required

Your value

• Prior experience as a T/A or yardperson highly regarded - but not essential
• Willing to learn and get stuck into a wide range of tasks
• Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious
• Comfortable with physical, hands-on work
• Forklift licence highly regarded but not essential (training may be available)
