The Company
This is a great opportunity to step into a leadership role at a well-established underground gold and antimony operation near to Bendigo in regional Victoria.
The site runs an underground mine and processing plant, employing over 250 people across professional, technical, mining, processing and trades roles - and has built a name for its safety-first culture, close-knit crews and genuine progression pathways.

The Roster
- 8 days on / 6 days off
- Day shift only
- Residential role - be home with your family every night
The Role
Reporting to the Underground Superintendent, you'll take responsibility for how underground operations run day to day - keeping work safe, compliant and on track. That means making sure the site is set up to perform, systems are being followed on the ground, and production is tracking against the mine plan.
Day to day, you'll be:
- Driving hazard management, risk auditing and continuous improvement across the operation
- Bringing together crews, equipment and daily activity to hit mine plan targets
- Building and leading strong teams, holding people accountable and shaping a positive site culture
- Keeping a close eye on budgets, costs and resourcing to protect both safety and financial performance
Your Value

You'll bring:
- Previous experience working as an Underground Foreman (essential)
- A proven leadership background in an underground metalliferous mining environment
- A track record leading both production and development crews
- Skill in pulling together resources and activity to hit mine plan targets
- A strong focus on safety, compliance and quality outcomes
- Confidence troubleshooting operational issues and holding a team accountable
- Experience mentoring and upskilling team members
- The ability to build genuine working relationships and a high-performing culture
- Experience driving change and embedding new ways of working
