About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Tier 2 Electrical Estimator to join a well-established electrical contractor delivering high-quality commercial projects across Brisbane and Southeast Queensland. You will play a key role in tendering and securing projects across offices, retail, education, health, and mixed-use developments ranging from $1M to $20M+ in electrical value.

This is a strong opportunity for an estimator who thrives in a fast-paced tender environment and is confident working autonomously while collaborating closely with project managers, engineers, and senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and competitive electrical tenders for commercial construction projects
• Review drawings, specifications, and tender documentation to develop detailed cost estimates
• Perform material take-offs, labour costing, and subcontractor pricing analysis
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations
• Identify risk, value engineering opportunities, and scope gaps during tender review
• Contribute to bid strategies and tender submissions
• Work closely with project delivery teams during handover to ensure estimate alignment
• Maintain and update cost databases and benchmarking information

About You

• Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator within a Tier 2 or strong mid-tier contractor
• Strong background in commercial construction projects
• Solid understanding of Australian electrical standards and construction methodologies
• Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., Buildsoft, Benchmark, or similar)
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with high attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple tenders under tight deadlines
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
