This is an excellent opportunity for a highly experienced Estimator to join a well-established commercial joinery and shopfitting business, where you will take full ownership of the estimating function.
You'll be supported by a strong leadership team and a positive, collaborative company culture, with comprehensive onboarding, ongoing support from day one, and genuine long-term development opportunities.
This is a commercially focused role suited to someone who understands both the technical and manufacturing side of joinery, ideally with a trade background have progressed from working on the tools to estimation.
Core responsibilities:
- Full ownership of end-to-end estimating across a busy and continuous tender pipeline
- Reviewing drawings, specifications, and scopes to produce accurate cost estimates and submissions
- Maintaining tender registers, follow-ups, and client communication throughout the bid process
- Pricing materials, labour, and manufacturing timeframes to ensure commercially sound estimates
- Working closely with production and operations to ensure estimating aligns with factory capability
- Handing over successful tenders to project and contract teams
- Participating in weekly internal meetings to review workload and pipeline
- Pricing a diverse range of commercial joinery and shopfitting projects across offices, healthcare, and retail
What you will bring:
- 5+ years' experience in commercial joinery or shopfitting estimation
- Trade qualification in cabinet making, joinery, or shopfitting will be highly regarded
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production timeframes
- Ability to build accurate, detailed costings across materials, labour, and methodology
- Strong Excel skills and confidence with tender documentation
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tenders at once
- Reliable, stable estimator who can work independently and take ownership
The structure & environment:
- Reporting to the Senior Project Manager
- Close collaboration with production and operations teams
- Weekly team meeting every Monday to review pipeline and priorities
- Supportive, tight-knit team culture with a strong social environment
- Predominately an office-based role 5 days per week
