A well-established Australian HVAC and mechanical services contractor. They deliver tailored air conditioning and mechanical solutions across commercial, industrial, and large-scale projects. The business works on everything from major hospitals and shopping centres to bespoke, technically complex installations. With offices across multiple states, the company holds a leading place in the HVAC industry.
Based in Adelaide, this role will see you independently designing HVAC systems on projects valued between $5M and $20M. You'll take ownership of key design decisions, produce full mechanical documentation, and contribute to innovative building services solutions.
Review architectural and engineering drawings to develop comprehensive HVAC system designs
Perform heating and cooling load calculations using industry software (e.g. HAP, CAMEL)
Produce technical reports, specifications, and layouts for construction packages
Review consultants' designs and provide technical insight and design improvements
Manage your own design workload and work autonomously with minimal supervision
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Proven experience designing HVAC systems for commercial or industrial buildings
Strong experience with heat load calculations (HAP, CAMEL, or similar tools)
Ability to produce mechanical design documentation and engineering deliverables from concept through to construction
A solid understanding of mechanical services standards and engineering principles
