The role

RReporting to the Workshop Leading Hand and working as part of a collaborative workshop team, you'll enjoy a hands-on Auto Electrician role working on underground mobile plant and equipment. This position offers varied work in a structured workshop environment with occasional site exposur

Your duties will include;

• Carrying out auto-electrical work across a range of underground mobile plant and equipment
• Installing and integrating electrical systems, accessories and machine upgrades
• Fault-finding, testing and adjusting electrical systems to ensure safe and reliable operation
• Assisting with machine commissioning at site on an ad hoc basis (not a regular requirement)
• From time to time, supporting rebuild or refurbishment work as workload requires

The hours, roster and overtime

• Standard hours are 38-hour weeks (no weekend work required)
• Monday - Thursday 6.00am - 2.30pm
• Friday - 6.00am - 12.00pm
• Overtime is regularly available with 10 hour days often on offer

Your skills and experience

You'll come to the role with a trade qualification as an Auto Electrician and experience working on mobile plant. What will really set you apart, though, is your attitude toward your work and your willingness to step in when required in an environment where quality, workmanship and safety matter.

• The ability to connect with a team and work autonomously
• Experience working on mobile plant or heavy equipment
• A willingness to work overtime when required
• An interest in a role that offers varied work, from installations through to fault-finding
• A desire to secure a long-term, permanent position with a reputable business
