You'll be joining a leading mining operation known for investing in people and retaining skilled trades with site benefits such including:

The Role & Duties

As an underground heavy diesel fitter, you'll work closely with a skilled team maintaining modern mining and support equipment. Key responsibilities include:

• Servicing, diagnostics, and repairs across heavy mobile plant and mining machinery.
• Attending breakdowns and carrying out preventative maintenance.
• Component change-outs and fault-finding on mechanical and some hydraulic systems.
• Starting in the surface workshop and progressing underground once trained and signed off.
• Hands-on exposure to OEM equipment including Sandvik, CAT, Normet, and Elphinstone.

Travel & Roster

This role offers a structured yet flexible work schedule with the following:

• FIFO from Brisbane or Townsville with commercial flights provided.
• Short bus transfer from the airport to site.
• 8:6 or 7:7 roster across days and nights.
• Full camp accommodation and meals included.

Your Skills & Experience

To be successful within this role and hit the ground running you will need to have the following:

• Heavy diesel trade qualification in Cert III or equivalent.
• Proven experience working on heavy equipment such as earthmoving or agricultural machinery or civil.
• Open cut or underground mining experience is highly regarded.
• Strong safety focus and ability to work effectively within a team.
• Ability to pass a full pre-employment medical and police clearance.
