Junior Project Manager

An exciting step up for a qualified tradesman looking to transition to management.

Ready to swap your tools for a schedule and step into management? This is the perfect role for a highly skilled, trade-qualified professional eager to transition into a Junior Project Manager role within a fast-paced shopfitting team.

This role will only be considering applications with a trade qualification in joinery, shopfitting or carpentry.

The Role:

• You will be mentored by a Senior PM, using your deep knowledge of commercial joinery and installation to coordinate projects from the workshop floor through to successful handover.

• Experience managing your own tasks and contributing to a team timeline. You'll assist in developing and tracking project schedules to ensure deadlines are met.

• Ability to coordinate between the workshop floor, site installers, and external subcontractors. This means ensuring materials and teams arrive on time, every time.

• A strong commitment to WHS/OH&S standards. You will actively manage site safety protocols and documentation.

• An understanding of how time and material costs impact profitability. You will assist in tracking expenditure against the project budget.

• Interstate travel required

Who you are:

• Equipped a can do attitude. You are described as a 'go getter' and 'lateral thinker'.

• You have a keen eye for detail honed from years on the tools. You'll ensure all fabricated and installed elements meet high standards and project specifications.

• Ability to confidently read, interpret, and cross-check architectural and joinery workshop drawings. You must spot clashes and errors before production begins.
• Must be a fully qualified Cabinet Maker or Carpenter. This is non-negotiable. Minimum of 3+ years of post-apprenticeship experience, ideally within commercial joinery or shopfitting environments.
