The branch and working hours

As a field service diesel mechanic, you will be spending majority of your time out on the road, working with a variety of clients and establishing relationships throughout the Brisbane region.

  • Standard hours are Mon-Thurs 7:00am-3:30pm, finishing early on Friday (hours may be flexible)
  • Plenty of overtime opportunities, with weekend work regularly available
  • Healthy earning opportunities

The role and machinery

In this role, you will have the opportunity to train and upskill across a wide range of earthmoving, crushing, and screening equipment where you will take the lead a field service diesel mechanic doing the following:

  • Scheduled servicing, Component change-outs, PM work, Maintenance, and equipment/technology upgrades
  • Breakdowns, Fault finding, Diagnostics, Problem solving, and Warranty work
  • Enjoy full autonomy while managing your own day to day workload
  • Start each day from home heading directly to your worksite
  • Some machinery worked with are brands such as Sandvik, Hyundai construction, Screen core and more!

Your Value

We are seeking an experienced heavy diesel mechanic who holds a trade qualification in light vehicle or diesel mechanics and demonstrated the following:

  • Trade qualified with experience across heavy machinery, road transport, earthmoving, or mining
  • Materials handling experience is highly regarded but not essential
  • Ability to work in the field and independently manage breakdowns and problem-solving
  • Hydraulic and electrical diagnostics experience is highly regarded (training available)
  • Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude towards work
  • Seeking a long-term, permanent role with strong earning potential
