About Us:
Our client is a trusted leader in industrial switchboard and electrical engineering design and manufacturing. Specialising in low, medium, and high voltage switchboards, motor control centres, transportable substations, and switch rooms - they are committed to powering industries with innovation and reliability.
About the Role:
We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Project Manager to join the team. In this pivotal role, you'll take ownership of project delivery across our MV & HV divisions, overseeing operations and ensuring that all projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Manage multiple electrical projects from initiation through to completion, including planning, scheduling, procurement, delivery, and close-out.
- Coordinate internal resources and third-party contractors for flawless project execution.
- Monitor project progress, resolve issues, and adjust schedules or plans as needed to meet deadlines and quality standards.
- Maintain strong communication with clients and stakeholders, ensuring expectations are met and relationships are maintained.
- Oversee project budgets, track financials, and ensure profitability targets are achieved.
- Conduct project reviews to assess outcomes, identify areas for improvement, and implement lessons learned.
- Collaborate with the estimating and engineering teams to ensure alignment on scope, cost, and technical requirements.
- Lead and mentor project teams, promoting a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
What We're Looking For:
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a Project Manager in electrical engineering, switchboard manufacturing, or a related industry.
- Strong knowledge of LV/MV/HV electrical systems, with an understanding of AS61439 and other relevant standards.
- Proven track record managing complex, high-value projects from start to finish.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong financial and commercial acumen with experience managing budgets and contracts.
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritise effectively, and deliver multiple projects simultaneously.
- Leadership experience with a focus on team development and performance.
