HVAC Estimator - Commercial Projects up to $2M

An established mechanical contractor based in Melbourne's southeast is seeking a skilled Estimator to join their close-knit team. With a strong reputation across the commercial and high-end residential space, this business delivers high-quality mechanical solutions including air conditioning and ventilation systems.

This role supports the delivery of projects valued up to $2 million and is ideal for someone experienced in HVAC estimating or project coordination, looking for a stable and collaborative work environment.

About the Role:

You'll work closely with Project Managers and company directors to support tendering, procurement, and contract administration. This is a varied, hands-on role spanning take-offs, quoting, compliance documentation, and coordination with suppliers and subcontractors.

Project Scope Includes:

• VRV/VRF and inverter systems

• Mechanical services (ducted systems, fresh air supply, smoke spill, car park ventilation)

• Commercial buildings, factories, and occasional high-end residential

• Light electrical scope supported by an in-house electrical PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare take-offs, scopes of work, and detailed cost estimates

• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to source competitive pricing

• Support PMs with contract documentation, procurement, and variation tracking

What We're Looking For:

• 2-5+ years' experience in HVAC estimating, CA, or project coordination

• Strong knowledge of VRV/VRF systems and small-to-mid-scale commercial HVAC

• Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (AS1668, Section J)

• Highly organised with attention to detail

• Comfortable working in a small, hands-on office environment

Team & Culture:
