About the Opportunity:

My client, a leading national contractor in the utilities infrastructure sector, is seeking an experienced Civil Project Manager to oversee the delivery of a major sewer pipeline project located west of Melbourne. This is a pivotal role on a high-profile project that forms part of critical wastewater infrastructure for the region's growing population.

Renowned for delivering complex civil and utilities works across Australia, my client is offering a long-term opportunity to join a high-performing team on a project that blends technical challenge, scale, and community impact.

Project Scope:

The project involves the construction of a large-diameter sewer pipeline, incorporating trenchless technologies, major civil works, and coordination with multiple stakeholders including local councils, authorities, and service providers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the full lifecycle delivery of the sewer pipeline project, ensuring performance targets for safety, time, cost, and quality are met.

• Manage internal project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers across all phases of delivery.

• Drive the development of construction programs, procurement strategies, and risk management plans.

• Maintain strict compliance with environmental, safety, and quality frameworks.

• Engage proactively with clients, regulators, and community stakeholders to support transparent and effective project communication.

• Provide leadership and mentoring to site teams and engineers.

Candidate Profile:

The successful candidate will bring a proven background in civil infrastructure project management, with direct experience in sewer or water pipeline delivery. A strong command of project controls, contract administration, and construction methodologies is essential.

Key Requirements:

• Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.

• Minimum of 8 years' experience in civil construction, including significant project management responsibilities.

• Demonstrated success in delivering complex pipeline or water infrastructure projects.

• Excellent commercial acumen with experience managing contracts.

• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.

• A commitment to fostering a safe and collaborative work environment.
