Leading Hand - Commercial Construction
Location: Sydney, NSW
Salary: From $100K+ (negotiable based on experience)

An established commercial builder is looking for a capable and driven Leading Hand to join their team on a range of projects across Sydney. With a strong pipeline of work in the commercial sector, including fit-outs, refurbishments, and new builds. This is an ideal opportunity for a tradesperson ready to step into a leadership role or build on their existing site experience.

About the Role

As a Leading Hand, you'll support the Site Manager in the day-to-day running of projects, ensuring quality workmanship, safety, and program delivery. You'll play a key part in coordinating trades, managing site tasks, and leading by example on the tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in managing site operations and supervising subcontractors

• Read and interpret plans and work closely with the Site Manager

• Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard

• Maintain site safety, cleanliness, and compliance

• Support project delivery within time and budget constraints

What We're Looking For

• Trade qualified in Carpentry

• Ideally 2-3 years' post-trade experience, but open to those with the right attitude and site exposure

• Proven experience on commercial projects - education, public, or similar sectors a plus

• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and leadership potential

• Working with Children Check and First Aid Certificate preferred (can be arranged if not current)
