About The Company:
My client is a leading wholesale residential building company based in Melbourne, specialising in delivering high-quality, cost-effective building solutions to volume builders, developers, and investor-focused clients. With a strong reputation for reliability, speed, and innovation, we are experiencing significant growth and are now seeking an experienced and results-driven Business Development Manager to help drive our next phase of expansion.
The Opportunity
As a Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in identifying new business opportunities, nurturing existing relationships, and working closely with internal teams to deliver tailored building solutions. You will be the face of our business with prospective clients and be instrumental in shaping strategic partnerships and long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute strategic business development plans to attract new clients and partnerships.

Identify and target potential wholesale/residential builder clients including developers, project managers, and investors.

Build strong relationships with key industry stakeholders to generate leads and close sales opportunities.

Collaborate with internal design, estimating, and construction teams to align client needs with our capabilities.

Represent the company at industry events, networking functions, and client meetings.

Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and client feedback to inform strategy and product offerings.

Deliver on monthly and quarterly sales targets and report on business development performance.
What We're Looking For

Proven track record in business development or sales within the residential construction industry (wholesale experience highly regarded).

Strong knowledge of Melbourne's property and building landscape.

Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Results-oriented with the ability to work autonomously and in a fast-paced environment.

Strong network of industry contacts in the residential or wholesale building sector is a plus.

Drivers licence and ability to travel locally for client meetings and site visits.
