Project Engineer - Commercial Construction | NSW

A leading mid-tier commercial builder with a strong footprint across NSW is seeking a capable and motivated Project Engineer to join their delivery team. The Role
We are seeking a hands-on Project Engineer with experience in both early works and structural packages. You will work closely with senior site and project leadership to ensure engineering coordination is delivered efficiently across the life cycle of the build.

This role suits a detail-oriented engineer who enjoys being part of a fast-paced site environment and has been involved in projects from site establishment through to structure and fit-out stages.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the engineering and delivery functions on-site from early works to handover
• Coordinate subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, and services
• Oversee early works activities, including:
• Site establishment and in-ground services
• Bulk excavation and retention systems (e.g., piling, shoring)
• Temporary works design and implementation
• Assist in managing the structural phase, including:
• Concrete and steel structure coordination
• Post-tensioned slabs, pre-cast elements, and load transfers
• Sequencing with services and façade trades
• Ensure project documentation is current and compliant (RFIs, ITPs, QA)
• Contribute to safety and environmental compliance on site
• Work closely with Site Engineers and the Senior Project Engineer for seamless delivery

About You

• Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or similar
• 3-6 years' experience in commercial construction
• Exposure to early works and structural packages on projects $10M+
• Excellent communication and coordination skills
• Strong problem-solving ability and technical understanding
• A proactive, team-oriented mindset
