Office of Projects Victoria (OPV) will see Dr Collette Burke stepping into the new role of Chief Engineer for Infrastructure in the new expert body.Labor Government established the OPV and role of Chief Engineer of Infrastructure to provide expert advice on major project designs and engineering. Along with overseeing planning, delivery and advice on project priorities provided by Infrastructure Victoria.

Dr Collette Burke will work alongside an advisory board within the OPV, delivering advice to the government during development and deliverance of new projects.

The Victorian Government and OPV are currently establishing a registration system for engineers, with Dr Burke overseeing the register which will provide compliance, competency regulations and industry-wide safety.

Perfect for the role of Chief of Engineer, Dr Collette Burke has an extensive background in the infrastructure industry. Burke is currently Managing Director of Exner Group, an engineering consulting firm, previously appointed to the board of VicTrack in 2015 and former National Director of the National Association of Women in Construction.

It’s an exciting time for the infrastructure industry in Victoria, with multiple large-scale projects currently underway. Including:
