Accor’s has announced that the ninth Art Series hotel, set to open in Perth’s CBD later this year, will be named after one of Australian street art’s most influential big wall painters – Matt Adnate.

The show stopping $90 million hotel by developer George Atzemis at 900 Hay street, Perth already stands at its impressive maximum height of 27 storeys.

“I see this hotel as a beautiful canvas to tell a story about Perth’s cultural and community connection through portraiture and traditional elements,” Adnate said.

“My Mega Mural will feature three large-scale portraits. It will represent the past through the cultural representation in the subject’s dressing elements, the present with contemporary faces, and the future as the subjects are the youth of today.”

The hotel will include 250 guest rooms, following on from builder Jaxon’s work on transforming the building’s interior into a hotel in late 2017.

The full-service hotel will feature a signature restaurant with terrace, bar and lounge, ground floor cafe, swimming pool, gymnasium and a function room.

“This major new asset will support the local tourism industry and create new jobs, which are both so vital to Perth and Western Australia”

Plans also include branded Smart Cars and Lekker bicycles available for guests to enable them to more readily explore the city of Perth during their stay.

Art Series Hotels transformed the Australian market when they launched in 2009. Signature art experiences at The Adnate will include the infamous art tours, in-room art channels and art libraries.
