About the Business

We're representing a well-established contractor specialising in commercial landscape construction and civil works.

The business has developed an excellent reputation within the industry and works with a number of major builders across large-scale commercial developments. Their project portfolio includes hospitals, hotels, schools, universities, residential developments and other major building projects.

With a growing team and a strong pipeline of upcoming work, they are now looking to add an experienced Civil Foreman to their delivery team.

The Position

As Civil Foreman, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of works on site, leading trades and subcontractors while working closely with the Project Manager to keep the project on track.

You'll be involved across the full construction process, with a particular focus on civil works, concrete, earthworks and drainage.

This would suit someone who enjoys being hands-on, taking ownership of a site and working in a fast-paced commercial environment.

Key Duties

• Coordinate daily construction activities and site operations

• Lead and allocate work across trades, labour and subcontractors

• Coordinate civil works including earthworks and drainage

• Oversee concrete packages from preparation through to completion

• Interpret plans, specifications and construction documentation

• Manage site set-out and ensure works are completed correctly

• Organise labour, materials, plant and equipment

• Monitor workmanship, quality and project standards

• Maintain site safety and ensure WHS procedures are followed

• Communicate with clients, subcontractors and other project stakeholders

• Work alongside the Project Manager to meet project programmes and deadlines

• Assist with project reporting, forecasting and cost management

About You

We're looking for an experienced site-based construction professional who can confidently lead a team and manage the day-to-day demands of a busy project.

You will ideally bring:

• Previous experience as a Civil Foreman, Site Supervisor or Site Manager

• 2-3+ years' experience in a similar position

• Strong experience with concrete construction

• Exposure to civil, infrastructure, structural or commercial construction

• Ability to read and understand construction drawings

• Experience managing subcontractors and site crews

• Strong knowledge of WHS and site compliance

• Good communication and leadership skills

• Current Australian driver's licence
