Heavy Diesel Mechanic in Maddington. $60/hr, Mon-Fri, 10hr days fully paid. Underground rebuild work, no FIFO, home every night.

An established underground mining equipment specialist is looking for Heavy Diesel Mechanics to join its Perth-based rebuild workshop. The team handles major component rebuilds and change-outs for underground fleets across WA.

Based in Maddington, you'll be home every night and doing solid, hands-on rebuild work. You'll join a workshop of around 20 fitters and sparkies who take pride in getting the job done right.

• Rates starting from $60ph + Super
• 10-hour days, Monday to Friday (5:30am-3:30pm)
• Paid lunch break, so you're paid for the full 10 hours
• Optional weekend work if you want the extra hours
• Maddington location, so you're home every night

The Role

You'll work in small crews of 1-4 on major rebuild and change-out projects for underground loaders, trucks, drill rigs and drivelines. Key responsibilities include:

• Full, midlife and partial component rebuilds to OEM standard
• Major component change-outs
• Stripping, inspecting and assessing components
• Diagnosing faults and identifying repair requirements
• Reporting on findings and parts requirements

What You'll Need

• A relevant trade qualification or 3+ years of industry experience
• Underground machinery experience (CAT, Sandvik, Epiroc, Normet, Volvo) is highly regarded
• Your own mining-grade hand tools (up to ¾" drive)
• A valid Australian driver's licence
• A High Risk Licence (desirable)
• A genuine commitment to safety, quality and teamwork
