Commercial Manager to join their team and take a senior role across major construction

A growing civil construction business is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to join their team and take a senior role across major construction and infrastructure projects.

This is a hands-on, client-facing position where you'll lead commercial outcomes, manage key relationships and confidently navigate challenging negotiations.

The Role

• Lead commercial management across major projects from procurement through to completion.
• Manage contracts, variations, claims, EOTs, procurement, forecasting and commercial risk.
• Build strong client relationships and confidently handle difficult commercial conversations.
• Provide leadership to two Commercial Leads and a QS.
• Work closely with Construction Managers, Project Managers and site teams.
• Work predominantly on site and with clients, with approximately 1-2 days per week in the office.
• Exposure to major infrastructure clients including Sydney Water and Hunter Water.

About You

• Proven full-cycle commercial experience within construction or infrastructure.
• Previous experience as a Commercial Manager, Senior Commercial Manager or Senior Commercial Lead.
• Strong contractual, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Ideally a Quantity Surveying and/or Law background.
• Confident, commercially astute and comfortable having difficult conversations.
• Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
