RESTORATION PROJECT MANAGER / ESTIMATOR

Location: Sydney

• Oversee insurance restoration projects from assessment through to completion
• Supervise technicians, trades and subcontractors
• Work from home when you're not attending sites

THE COMPANY

My client is an established insurance builder with an internal restoration team delivering insurance projects across Sydney. With a strong pipeline of work, they are looking for an experienced Restoration Project Manager / Estimator to join their team.

THE ROLE

You will oversee a portfolio of insurance restoration projects from the initial assessment through to completion. This will include supervising the delivery of works, coordinating technicians and subcontractors, managing costs and timelines, and keeping insurers and other stakeholders updated throughout the project.

You will also attend sites to assess damage and prepare the required scopes, estimates and variations. When you're not attending sites, you will have the flexibility to complete your estimating, reporting and project administration from home.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing insurance restoration projects from initial assessment through to completion
• Supervising technicians, trades and subcontractors
• Programming works and coordinating labour and resources
• Attending sites to assess damage and determine project requirements
• Preparing detailed scopes of work, estimates and reports
• Preparing and negotiating variations where required
• Managing project budgets, costs and timelines
• Monitoring the progress and quality of works
• Liaising with insurers, builders, assessors, policyholders and other stakeholders
• Ensuring projects are delivered in line with insurer requirements
• Providing regular project updates and maintaining accurate documentation
• Completing estimating, reporting and project administration from home

ABOUT YOU

To be considered, you will ideally have:

• Previous experience managing, supervising or estimating insurance restoration projects
• Strong knowledge of restoration processes and insurance requirements
• Experience preparing scopes, estimates and variations
• Experience coordinating technicians, trades or subcontractors
• Strong commercial awareness and the ability to manage project budgets
• The ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills
• Confidence working autonomously and taking ownership of project delivery
• Experience using restoration, estimating or claims-management software
• A current Australian driver's licence
