This is the stepping stone. Our client is a global Original Equipment Manufacturer at the forefront of the underground hard rock mining sector, and their Wangara facility manufactures ground control (rock bolt) products used in mines across the country. No trade? No site experience? No worries - this role is a proven entry point into the mining industry, with real training and development to back it up.

About the Role

We're on the hunt for a Production Worker to join a close-knit team of 6-7 in our client's rock bolt manufacturing facility in Wangara. You'll start on a 6-month casual contract through Marble at $38.15 per hour + super, then transition into a permanent role with the client (based on skills, capability and role availability).

The Roster

• Monday - Thursday: 5:45am - 2:00pm
• Friday: 5:45am - 1:15pm (early knock-off!)
• Standard 38-hour week

What You'll Be Doing

• Assisting in the production of rock bolts as directed by the Production Supervisor / Leading Hand
• Conducting and recording quality checks in line with documented procedures
• Labelling, marking and packaging products correctly
• Monitoring raw material stock levels
• Operating a forklift and/or overhead crane (if qualified)
• Keeping the workplace safe - reporting hazards, near misses and improvement ideas

What We're Looking For

• Experience in a fast-paced, repetitive production environment
• Ability to read and follow documented procedures and production standards
• Reliable, punctual, with strong attention to detail
• A team player with a high level of safety awareness
• Forklift ticket
• 2+ years' experience in a similar production role (desirable)

Who Thrives in this role

This is a hands-on, physically demanding role with plenty of heavy manual handling day in, day out. The people who do best here typically come from labouring, construction, landscaping or similar physical backgrounds. If you're fit, strong and used to hard yakka, you'll settle in quickly. If you're after something light on the body, this one probably isn't for you.
