This is a hands-on ops role at one of North QLD's most well-known hard rock mines. You'll spend the majority of your time underground keeping the operation moving so if you're happy to get your hands dirty and want to build a long-term career at a site that actually looks after its people, keep reading.

The Role & Duties
Working underground the majority of the shift, get experience across fixed plant ops and general underground duties as part of a close-knit crew. The work is physical, varied and day-to-day includes:
- Dewatering operations - managing pumps, sumps and flight pumps to maintain safe water levels underground
- Pipe installation, maintenance and repairs as required across the operation
- Operate underground equipment including boggers, excavators and rock breakers
- Supporting shutdown activities - planned and unplanned - as part of the wider ops team
- Conducting pre-starts, routine checks and reporting any faults or hazards immediately
- Working collaboratively with other crews to keep the operation running safely and on schedule

Your Value
Underground experience is the foundation - but attitude, reliability and a willingness to learn are number one.
- Prior underground experience in fixed plant, service crew or a trade background is highly regarded
- Comfortable operating heavy underground equipment (training will be provided onsite as well)
- Experience with dewatering, pumps or pipe work is a real advantage
- Physically fit and able to work 12-hour shifts in hot, confined underground conditions
- Team player with a strong safety mindset and a genuine willingness to learn and develop
- Current manual driver's licence and ability to pass a pre-employment mining medical
