Heavy Diesel Mechanic
Underground Hard Rock Mine | FIFO Perth / DIDO Kalgoorlie & Esperance | 8/6 or 7/7 Roster

Marble is proud to be partnering with a leading Tier 1 hard rock underground mining contractor to recruit experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanics for their operations across three mine sites within a major project in WA.

With a long mine life ahead and genuine long-term opportunity, this is a solid chance to lock in stable, well-supported underground work with a tight-knit crew - a "small mine mentality on a big mine."

The Role: Heavy Diesel Mechanic

You'll be keeping a modern fleet of underground mining equipment running at its best - carrying out everything from scheduled services to breakdowns, keeping production moving and the team safe underground.

Key Responsibilities

• Scheduled and preventative maintenance on heavy diesel underground mining equipment
• Fault finding, diagnostics, and breakdown repairs on loaders, trucks, jumbos, and other underground mobile plant
• Hydraulic and mechanical repairs across a mixed fleet of underground equipment
• Pre-start inspections and defect reporting in line with site procedures
• Supporting safe and efficient underground production activities
• Adhering to safety systems, procedures, and quality standards
• Providing hands-on technical support for planned, unplanned, and breakdown maintenance

Roster & Travel

• FIFO from Perth or DIDO from Kalgoorlie and Esperance
• Roster: 8/6 - 7/7 Day/Night available
• Three mine sites within a larger project - all near town
• Short 1.2 hour flight from Perth - direct charter

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Trade qualification as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic or Mobile Plant Mechanic (Cert III or above)
• Proven experience on heavy diesel underground mining equipment or mine site mobile plant
• WA Based and available for flights from Perth Airport, or DIDO from nearby towns
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills across hydraulic and mechanical systems
• Underground or mine site experience highly regarded
• A solid commitment to safety, doing good work, and backing your team
