You'll be working on a late-model Sandvik fleet in well-equipped surface workshops, backed by strong leadership, quality tooling and clear pathways into Leading Hand and supervisory roles.

You'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing a modern fleet of underground Sandvik development and production drills, with a mix of workshop-based maintenance and underground field service work.
Workshop Duties
- Scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance
- Breakdown repairs and fault finding
- Diagnostics and troubleshooting
- Component change-outs and major repairs
- General workshop maintenance and inspections
Underground Field Service
- Breakdown response and fault diagnosis underground
- Drill servicing and maintenance in the field
- Troubleshooting hydraulic and mechanical issues
- Working autonomously across underground operations
Machinery on Site
You'll be working across a modern underground fleet including:
- Sandvik DD422i Development Drills
- Sandvik DL431 Production Drill
- Sandvik loaders and underground trucks
- Normet equipment and ancillary machinery
What We're Looking For
- Trade-qualified Heavy Diesel Fitter or Mobile Plant Mechanic
- Strong underground drill maintenance experience
- Solid hydraulic and diagnostic troubleshooting ability
- Able to work autonomously and within a close-knit crew
- Strong safety attitude and high-quality workmanship
- Reliable with a good long-term mindset
Highly Regarded
- Sandvik drill experience
- Underground hard rock mining background
- Leadership potential or desire to step up long-term
