The Role

You will be fully site-based, travelling across North Queensland (and potentially NT), providing specialised field service support to ensure equipment is maintained, reliable, and operating at peak performance.

• Breakdown response, scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance
• Hydraulic, electrical and mechanical fault finding and diagnostics
• On-site breakdowns, repairs, rebuilds and major component replacements
• Occasional workshop duties including overhauls and structural repairs
• Working across underground drills, loaders, haul trucks and auxiliary equipment

FIFO Roster & Hours

This role offers flexible FIFO options designed to suit different lifestyles, with all travel and accommodation arranged.

• Choose from 2:2 or 8:6 FIFO roster (12-hour shifts)
• FIFO from Brisbane, Townsville, Cairns
• Accommodation provided either on-site (camp) or near branch facilities in N.QLD
• Opportunity to work within a major underground mining hub with strong project pipelines

Your Skills & Experience

This role suits a trade-qualified fitter looking to develop specialist underground OEM experience and build a long-term mining career.

• Trade qualification: Diesel Fitter / Heavy Diesel Mechanic / Heavy Vehicle Mechanic
• Underground mining or heavy earthmoving experience
• Strong diagnostic, fault-finding and hands-on mechanical skills
• Safety-focused with strong communication and work quality standards
• Willingness to work FIFO rosters and commit to long-term progression
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and national police check
