Exciting Opportunity in the Mining Industry: Our client is seeking an experienced leader in the realm of mining operations to manage a dedicated team in open-pit environments. They are looking for a hands-on Production Supervisor to join their family-oriented crew on a short-term 3-6 month contract with the possibility of extension. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safe and efficient conduct of load and haul activities, and they want you to be a part of their growing team.

What You'll Do

As a Production Supervisor, you'll lead a team of 15-20 operators, fostering a collaborative atmosphere while driving safety and productivity. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include managing excavator and truck teams, and proactively enhancing the skills of crew members.

Work Schedule

This position operates on an 8:6 day-only roster, FIFO (Fly-In-Fly-Out) from Perth, with some potential night shifts to ensure comprehensive operation management.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in open-pit mining activities.
• A calm and pragmatic approach to team leadership and problem-solving.
• Strong commitment to safety with an excellent track record of identifying and mitigating risks.
• WA Statutory 26 Supervisor Qualifications - Exam & Modules are mandatory.
• Ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug testing.
• Current WA Driver's License.
• Police clearance for gold site access.

Desirable Skills and Experience

• Experience with day-to-day use and troubleshooting of GPS systems.
• A proactive attitude towards upskilling team members and fostering their personal development.
• Experience leading excavator and truck teams in a mining environment.
• Hands-on, practical field experience is highly valued.
