Maintenance Leading Hand - Open Pit Gold

Join a growing WA mining services contractor delivering high-performance earthmoving and maintenance solutions at an open pit gold operation. This is a rare opportunity to step into a hands-on leadership role with a small, tight-knit crew, where your input will directly influence the success and growth of the operation.

This role will suit an experienced Leading Hand or Senior HD Fitter ready to step up, who thrives in a lean team environment and wants to get in early with a company expanding across Western Australia.

The Opportunity

• Lead a small crew of HD Fitters, Auto Electricians & Service Personnel
• Oversee maintenance across a fleet of Dump Trucks & Excavators
• Temp to perm pathway with long-term stability as the project ramps up
• Be part of a new/open pit gold operation transitioning into production

• Competitive WA market rates:
  • Leading Hand: $85 - $95/hr + super (casual)
  • Temp to perm conversion available after initial period
• FIFO from Perth (or DIDO depending on location)

Mandatory Requirements

• Schedule 26 Statutory Supervisor (S26) - essential
• Relevant trade qualification (HD Fitter / Diesel Mechanic or similar)
• Previous open pit mining experience
• Current driver's licence

About You

• Proven experience as a Leading Hand / Senior HD Fitter in open pit mining
• Strong background working on CAT, Komatsu, Hitachi or similar mobile plant
• Demonstrated ability to lead crews and manage day-to-day maintenance activities
• Hands-on leadership style - willing to be on the tools when required
• Strong focus on safety, planning and team performance
