We're on the hunt for a methodical, detail-driven technician to join a dedicated rebuild division, focusing on underground rock drills. This is a unique opportunity to move into a clean, highly organised workshop environment where your workmanship and attention to detail are valued.

    * Monday to Friday | 10-hour days (5:00am-3:00pm or 6:00am-4:00pm)

The Role

A hands-on, bench-based role focused on the strip, inspection and rebuild of underground rock drills to OEM standards. This role suits someone who enjoys structured, repetitive work and takes pride in precision.

You will be responsible for:
* Stripping rock drills down to component level, identifying wear, faults and reusable parts
* Rebuilding and assembling components to OEM specifications using new parts and precision tooling
* Completing detailed inspection reports, including clear photos and accurate documentation at each stage
* Operating modern test stations to function test rebuilt units and ensure performance standards are met
* Following structured rebuild processes and maintaining consistency across all work
* Maintaining a clean, organised and safe work area within a high-standard workshop environment

What You'll Need:

  • Trade qualification - Mechanical Fitter, Automotive Fitter or similar
    * Experience in rebuilds, overhauls or component work (hydraulics, engines, drills, etc.) highly regarded
    * Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
    * Ability to follow processes, complete reports and maintain quality standards
    * Comfortable with repetitive, bench-based work
    * Reliable, team-oriented with a strong work ethic
    * Ability to complete a pre-employment medical + D&A
