The Role

We are seeking an experienced Quarry Manager to lead a well-established operation located west of Melbourne.

This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing all aspects of site performance including production, maintenance, safety, team leadership and commercial outcomes. You will take full ownership of the operation, working closely with senior leadership while having the autonomy to drive improvements and performance across the site.

The Operation

The site is a long-standing quarry producing sand, gravel, bluestone aggregates and specialty products, supplying a broad customer base across construction, civil and landscaping sectors.

With an annual output of approximately 500,000 tonnes and a strong pipeline of ongoing work, the operation is well positioned for continued success. The quarry has a substantial remaining resource, with an approved extension expected to support a further 20+ years of operation.

Your Skills and Experience

• Proven experience in a Quarry Manager or similar senior leadership role
• Strong understanding of quarry operations, production and maintenance
• Quarry Manager (QM) Certificate of Competency or equivalent
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive site performance
• Experience managing budgets, costs and operational targets
• Strong safety focus with knowledge of compliance and best practice

Highly regarded:

• Experience within civil, mining or heavy industry environments
• Strong commercial and customer-facing experience
• Experience operating machinery within a quarry or mining setting
