Drafting Manager - HVAC (Commercial)

We are partnered with a leading commercial HVAC contractor experiencing strong growth and currently seeking an experienced Drafting Manager to lead and develop their drawing office.

This is a key leadership role responsible for managing a team of 14, ensuring the delivery of high-quality technical drawings across major commercial HVAC projects.

The business has a strong reputation across large-scale commercial installations and offers a stable pipeline of work with an experienced leadership team.

The Role

Reporting into senior leadership, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the drafting department while ensuring drawings are delivered accurately and on schedule.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing and leading a team of 14

• Overseeing the drawing office workflow and delivery timelines

• Reviewing and approving HVAC mechanical shop drawings

• Working closely with project managers, engineers, and site teams

• Implementing processes to improve drafting efficiency and quality

• Mentoring and developing drafting staff

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Proven experience in a Drafting Manager / Senior Drafting Lead role

• Strong background within the commercial HVAC / mechanical services industry

• Experience managing drafting teams and coordinating external drafting support

• High-level proficiency in HVAC drafting standards and coordination

• Extensive experience using Revit
