The role

Reporting directly to the workshop supervisor, you'll be responsible for a range of workshop mechanical duties and occasional shutdowns and project work at multiple underground sites around central NSW.

• Mechanical maintenance on a variety of underground hardrock and surface mining machinery.
• Leading by example both on and off the tools, encouraging team work, collaboration, and crew culture whilst providing effective supervision and leadership.
• Supporting with shutdown projects across NSW underground mine sites.

Your skills & experience

You will come from a background working on mobile plant maintenance and rebuilds and be confident working on underground mining machinery. Anyone from a heavy earthmoving and agricultural mechanical background could also be suited to the position:

• Cert III Mobile Plant (desirable)
• Heavy mechanical trade qualification (essential)
• Experience working on underground hardrock mining machinery (maintenance and rebuilds)
• Experience working on a variety of Sandvik and CAT equipment (desirable)
• Proven knowledge on hydraulic maintenance and repairs.
