Dry Fire Supervisor

A respected, high-performing fire protection contractor is seeking an experienced Dry Fire Supervisor (or Senior Technician ready for a challenge) to join their team.

This role is hands-on having an 80/20 split of on the tools and office responsibilities. It suits an experienced tradesperson who wants more responsibility and influence on site without stepping fully into an office-based role.

The Role

You will be a key on-site leader, actively installing and overseeing dry fire system works, while coordinating labour, quality, and program delivery.

You'll work closely with Project Managers and clients, acting as the technical lead on site and ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and to standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out installation of Dry Fire Systems.
  • Lead and coordinate internal crews and subcontractors
  • Set out works, manage daily activities, and maintain site productivity
  • Ensure installations comply with AS 2118, relevant alarm standards, and project documentation
  • Conduct quality checks and manage defects and rectification works
  • Coordinate testing, inspections, and commissioning with internal teams and authorities
  • Interface directly with builders, site managers, and other trades
  • Maintain site paperwork including SWMS, permits, and daily reports

Key Requirements

  • Strong background in Dry Fire Systems across large-scale contracts/projects.
  • Experience as a dry fire supervisor preferred or senior tech ready to take the next step
  • Sound knowledge of AS 2118 and compliance-driven construction environments
  • Proven ability to lead from the front while remaining hands-on
  • Confident communicator with various stakeholders both internal and external
  • Well-organised, reliable, and able to run sections of work autonomously
  • Relevant fire protection licences, tickets, and White Card
