Auto Mine Technician role underground Gold Mine WA. Sandvik AutoMine systems, flexible FIFO rosters, $80-$95/hr temp-to-perm & modern fleet.
An exciting opportunity is available for an Auto Mine Technician to join a large-scale underground gold operation in WA, working with a Tier 1 underground mining contractor known for modern equipment, strong systems and long-term career pathways.
This role is ideal for Auto Electricians or Auto Mine specialists with experience in autonomous or semi-autonomous mining systems, looking to work on cutting-edge Sandvik technology in a well-supported underground environment.
You'll play a key role in the installation, commissioning and ongoing support of underground automation systems, working across both workshop and field environments.
FIFO from Perth / Busselton
Multiple roster options: 2:2, 2:1 or 7:7 / 7:7
$80-$95/hr + super (temp-to-perm)
Clear pathway to permanent employment
Modern underground fleet and excellent site facilities
Installing, commissioning and maintaining underground automation and AutoMine systems
Calibrating and configuring automation components such as vehicle awareness and control systems
Completing AutoMine level setup, mapping and system validation
Supporting breakdown diagnostics and fault finding on automated equipment
Working across surface workshop, underground workshop and underground field service
You'll be working on a modern underground fleet including:
Sandvik development and production drills
Autonomous-capable loaders and trucks
All equipment is late-model Sandvik, with no second-hand machines on site.
Essential:
Trade-qualified Auto Electrician
Cert II in Automotive Air Conditioning
Strong understanding of electrical systems on heavy mobile equipment
Ability to read and interpret schematics and wiring diagrams
Highly Regarded:
3+ years working on large mobile equipment underground
Excellent pay rates with weekly pay while contracting
Long-term underground project with strong job security
High-quality camp with ensuite rooms, gym, wet mess and recreational facilities
Fly direct to site - airport, camp and mine in close proximity
OEM and in-house technical training on advanced automation systems
Work on industry-leading autonomous mining systems
