I am recruiting on behalf of a well-established commercial joinery and interiors business delivering high-quality fit-outs across Sydney.

This is a hands-on Project Manager role suited to someone who can take full ownership of projects, manage installers directly, and run jobs independently from start to finish.

The Role

With multiple new projects lined up for 2026, you will be responsible for managing 2-4 live, 6-figure projects at any one time - managing a team of installers and ensuring projects are completed efficiently and smoothly.

Once a project is handed over, it will be yours to run end-to-end, with minimal involvement from senior management. The business is looking for someone switched, decisive, and confident in managing stakeholders and resolving issues as they arise.

You will be:

  • Managing projects from award through to completion
  • Coordinating and directly managing 6-15 installers across multiple sites
  • Liaising with clients, builders, consultants and site teams
  • Managing programs, site coordination and client expectations
  • Answering technical questions relating to joinery, installation and methodology
  • Identifying and resolving issues proactively, with open and clear communication
  • Mange predominately commercial projects ranging from high-end office fitouts, medical centres, and hospitality

What We're Looking For:

  • 4-5+ years' experience running joinery projects
  • Strong understanding of joinery, installation and construction sequencing
  • Experience managing installers and site teams directly
  • Confident communicator with the ability to manage clients and builders
  • Highly organised, autonomous and able to run projects without handholding
  • Commercial fit-out experience preferred (office, medical, hospitality)
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously
