• Up to $52.40ph + 12% super + 4 weeks annual leave and sick days

Roster and hours

You will enjoy a days only Monday - Friday roster working the morning shift. There will be occasional OT available at the end of your shift paid at penalty rates.

• 7 hours paid per day
• 6am - 1pm (including a 30-minute paid lunch)
• Occasional overtime available on the end of your shift for those looking for more hours.

The role

As a highly skilled heavy diesel fitter, you'll be responsible for all mechanical and hydraulic maintenance and repair at Port Brisbane. All of your work will be completed at the well-equipped site.

• A large majority of your duties will be scheduled servicing on straddle carriers.
• Occasional emergency work and reactive breakdowns when required.
• Hydraulic diagnostics and servicing, break repairs, tyre replacements, low voltage auto electrical repairs, and specialized sensor adjustments.

Your value

You will be a trade qualified Heavy diesel fitter / plant mechanic with a well-rounded knowledge of hydraulic fault finding and repairs on mobile plant and/or cranes.

• Mechanical trade qualification (heavy diesel)
• Hydraulic and mechanical knowledge
• An excellent attitude towards work with proven ability to work both autonomously and in a team environment.
• Be able to pass a pre-employment medical and national police check
