The Role & Duties

Reporting directly to the shift supervisor, you'll be one of the key auto electricians within a highly skilled maintenance team. Your role will include:

• Working across both underground and surface fleets, giving you varied, well-rounded exposure
• Handling auto electrical and AC servicing, repairs, diagnostics, and general maintenance
• Attending underground breakdowns once fully trained and comfortable
• Installing, fault-finding, and ensuring ongoing reliability of critical equipment
• Working across a fleet that includes Sandvik drills, trucks, boggers, Normet charge-up rigs, loaders, graders, ancillary gear, and LV fleet and more

Roster & Travel

Enjoy a balanced roster and straightforward travel from multiple locations:

• Lifestyle friendly 8:6 / 7:7 roster across days and nights
• FIFO offered from Brisbane or Townsville, or the option to DIDO from Mt Isa or Cloncurry
• 12-hour work dates from 6am to 6pm with Tuesday-to-Tuesday roster
• Bus from Cloncurry to site.

This North QLD operation offers a comfortable and social camp with great facilities, including:

• Renovated wet mess and excellent food and drink options
• Air-conditioned and en-suite accommodation rooms
• Short walk from camp to site
• 4G Telstra coverage
• Pool, basketball court, tennis court as well as regular onsite social activities

Your Skills & Experience
For this position onsite you will need the following:

• A trade qualification in Automotive Electrical or equivalent
• Experience with heavy earthmoving, civil, agriculture or mining equipment (highly desirable)
• A strong focus on safety, quality, and detail
• The ability to work both independently and within a team
• A positive attitude and commitment to high standards
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and complete a police check
