The mine site
Located in central west NSW, this long-standing underground hard rock operation employs a large local workforce and continues to play a key role in the region's mining industry. The mobile plant maintenance division on site offers:
- Your choice of roster - 2:2, 7:7, or 2:1 (all rosters include days and night shift)
- Work on a range of underground equipment in a varied and challenging role.
- DIDO from anywhere in central NSW with DIDO allowances provided.
- Motel style accommodation provided with buffet style meals
The role
Reporting directly to the supervisor on your crew you will enjoy working in a varied role where you'll develop a broad range of skill in both the workshop and in the field. Working in a close-knit team of trades you will be involved with:
- Jumbo box starter relocation, service, and maintenance
- Drill rig service and maintenance
- 1000v reticulation
- Fans, pumps, vents maintenance and ad hoc electrical repair across the site.
- HV switching
Your skills and experience
Ideally, you will come from a background working as an underground shift electrician working on the duties listed above. You will have:
- Trade qualification (Cert III Electrotechnology)
- Underground mining experience
- An excellent attitude towards work and desire to work in an underground hard rock mine
- Ability to work on machinery in the field and workshop
- Ability to work unsupervised and in a team environment
- Driver's license
Contract and salary
Marble is partnered with this underground mining principal to supply long term employees to the site. The opportunity exists to join the company on an initial contract through Marble and transition over to the clients' books after a short probation period.
- $75.00ph - $85.00ph + super (depending on skills and experience)
- Weekly pay cycles whilst working through Marble
- Moving over to a permanent salary on the principle's books after a set period of time.
