Lead design excellence with one of South Australia's most respected builders.
This home builder are an award-winning custom home builder known for delivering exceptional quality, architectural flair, and a genuinely personal building experience. With strong growth and a loyal client base, they're now seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead their in-house design team and drive creative and technical excellence across their projects.
You'll oversee the design function from concept through to pre-construction, ensuring designs are practical, cost-effective, and align with each client's vision.
This role will suit someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys problem-solving, and is passionate about combining aesthetic design with buildability.
Manage and mentor the internal design and drafting team
Oversee all design documentation and ensure compliance with NCC and local council requirements
Collaborate closely with estimating, construction and client-facing teams
Drive continuous improvement in design processes and quality control
Liaise with clients and consultants to deliver innovative, functional, and buildable designs
Proven experience in residential design management or senior drafting/architecture roles within a BUILDER!
Strong technical knowledge of construction methods and residential codes
Confident communicator with the ability to translate ideas into solutions
Highly organised, detail-focused, and passionate about design excellence
Proficiency with Revit or similar design software
