Production Estimator - Residential Homes (Adelaide)

Join a reputable volume home builder delivering quality detached homes across Adelaide. We are seeking an experienced Production Estimator with proven local experience in SA residential building to keep projects moving smoothly from tender to site.

The opportunity

As a Production Estimator, you will prepare accurate BOQs, place purchase orders, maintain price files, and support construction teams with timely take-offs and variation pricing. You will work closely with drafting, sales estimating, supervisors, and suppliers to ensure each home is costed correctly and delivered on time.

What you will do

• Produce detailed quantity take-offs and Bills of Quantities for standard and custom variations

• Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring correct cost codes and budgets

• Maintain and audit price files, supplier rates, and product catalogues

• Review construction drawings for buildability and cost impacts

• Price client variations and RFIs, and update budgets accordingly

• Identify value engineering opportunities while maintaining specification and quality

• Liaise with supervisors, drafting, and procurement to resolve estimating queries quickly

• Contribute to continuous improvement of estimating templates and workflows

• Ensure documentation aligns with NCC requirements and local council conditions

What you bring

• Recent experience in Production Estimating for a residential home builder in Adelaide

• Strong knowledge of SA suppliers, trades, and local construction methods

• Proficiency with estimating software such as Databuild or Framework, plus Excel

• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings

• High attention to detail, strong numeracy, and clear communication

• Collaborative mindset with urgency and ownership

Nice to have

• Exposure to volume build programs and standard library management

• Understanding of NCC 2022 updates, energy and BAL considerations

• Certificate or Diploma in Building, Construction Management, or similar
