High Voltage Electrician - Cable Jointing Specialist

Location: Central Brisbane

Pay Rate: $50-$57 per hour (depending on experience)

About the Role

We're seeking an experienced High Voltage Electrician to join our team in a permanent role, based in central Brisbane. You'll be working on high voltage electrical works, with a strong focus on cable jointing. This is a hands-on role where quality, safety, and technical proficiency are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform high voltage cable jointing and terminations to a high standard

• Install, maintain, and repair high voltage cable systems

• Troubleshoot issues in high voltage networks

• Read and interpret electrical diagrams, cable layouts, and technical specifications

• Ensure all work complies with safety standards, regulations, and best industry practices

• Coordinate with project managers and other trades to ensure efficient workflow

• Maintain accurate records of tasks, inspections, and any defects or reworks required

Key Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in high voltage cable jointing and terminations

• Strong understanding of HV electrical systems, safety protocols, and regulations

• Relevant electrical qualifications and licences

• Ability to read electrical schematics and work autonomously

• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety

• Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
