As our Electrical Testing Officer, you'll be the final checkpoint before our custom-built switchboards and control panels leave the workshop. You'll carry out comprehensive testing, compliance inspections, and quality checks to ensure every product meets Australian Standards (AS/NZS 61439), customer specs, and our own high expectations.
From earth continuity to functional testing, you're the one who signs off that everything's good to go - and safe to use.
Perform thorough electrical tests: continuity, insulation resistance, polarity, functional checks, and more
Verify workmanship against electrical drawings, schematics, and BOMs
Identify and report non-conformances; help get to the root cause
Document everything - test reports, compliance records, checklists
Ensure all tools and equipment are tested, calibrated, and compliant
Champion safety with proper isolation procedures, PPE use, and hazard reporting
Collaborate with production teams, contribute to quality audits, and keep improving our systems
Must-Haves:
Qualified Electrician or equivalent trade background
Experience in low-voltage switchboard/control panel testing
Strong ability to read electrical drawings and schematics
Deep understanding of safety protocols and WHS requirements
Nice-to-Haves:
Formal testing or QA certification
ISO 9001 or quality systems experience
High-current/FAT testing knowledge
