About the Team

The client is a well-established Melbourne-based custom home builder known for our attention to detail, tailored service, and high-end finishes. Our projects span a wide range of bespoke homes across metro Melbourne, with a strong reputation for delivering on time and beyond expectations.

The Role

As a Production Estimator, you'll be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed costings, purchase orders, and BOQs for custom residential projects. You'll work closely with our design, drafting, and construction teams to ensure smooth project delivery from contract through to construction.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed and accurate production estimates for custom home builds

• Generate purchase orders and construction documentation using estimating software

• Liaise with suppliers and contractors to ensure up-to-date pricing

• Collaborate with the construction and design teams to ensure project requirements are met

• Maintain accurate records of project costs and variations

• Identify and resolve any estimation discrepancies or issues quickly and effectively

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in a residential estimating role (custom or volume)

• Proficiency with estimating software such as Databuild, Buildxact, or similar

• Strong understanding of residential construction processes and materials

• High attention to detail and organisational skills

• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset

• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
