The Mine & Roster

- The camp is clean and well kept with assigned en-suite rooms
- On site gym, all weather pitch and breakout area with pool table and darts board
- FIFO from Perth on chartered flight with short 15 minute bus journey to site from airstrip
The Role
Function:
- Delivery of short-term schedules in alignment with direction provided by the Planning Department.
- Establishment of company procedures, standards, and templates for the technical services department
- Support operation through the delivery of safe and efficient Production plans (Drilling, charging, remote bogging)
- Assist with the implementation of infrastructure projects and required instructions.
- Assist the Mining Manager as required, support on a variety of tasks including technical work and statutory appointments as required
- Ventilation Surveys, monitoring, and compliance
- Regular Underground inspections
- Underground Manager ticket coverage when required
- Organising short-term/daily activities with onsite contractors and technical staff
- Assisting with validating sections of the onsite contractor claim
- Ensure compliance with WHS (Mining) 2022
- Development and implementation of Safe Systems of Work
- Managing and supporting raisebore and civil works contractors
- Mentoring and developing Production Engineering Team
Responsible:
- Delivery and implementation of Weekly Schedule
- Delivery of safe and efficient Production plans/designs (Drilling, Charging, Remote Bogging)
- Drill and blast standards
- Stoping and Extraction Notes
- Work instructions
- Data management
- Contractor plans
- Ventilation surveys and plans
Your Skills and Experience
You are required to possess and demonstrate the following:
Experience:
- A tertiary degree in Mining Engineering
- First Class Mine Manager's Certificate preferable
- 7+ Years of professional experience in mining engineering
- Deswik competency
- Production Experience
- Managing and developing teams
- Managing contractors
- Well-developed communication and literacy skills
- Ability to work autonomously with well-developed time management skills
- Underground Mining experience
- Business acumen gained within an operational mining environment
- Full knowledge of Mine Safety and Inspection Act & Regulations
- Outstanding analytical skills
- WA based with experience of local area
- Highly skilled written and verbal communication, literacy, numeracy, and presentation skills
- Well-developed interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail
- Ability to work to deadlines
