The Role
As a field service diesel mechanic, you will be the assigned OEM technician for the equipment sold to one of the company's main clients in Victoria. The role will involve; -
- Maintaining equipment across 6 locations in Melbourne and regional Victoria
- Becoming well acquainted with a wide range of machines in the client's portfolio
- Working on wheel loaders, excavators, forklifts, trucks (electric and diesel)
- Mechanical duties - servicing, PM work and scheduled maintenance, warranty work, general repairs, machinery upgrades, breakdowns inc. fault finding and diagnostics
- Working closely with the customer and developing a strong relationship with site contacts
Your Skills & Experience
You will have come from a diesel trade qualified background and experience working on earthmoving equipment. You will also; -
- Have excellent communication and customer service skills
- Be able to work autonomously and in a team
- Have strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Be able to carry out work with a high level of accuracy
- Have strong written skills and be able to use computer systems
