Assistant Accountant

One of our key clients in the Melbourne Residenital Construction market is seeking an assistant accountant.

Role Details:

• Preparing consolidated reporting for customers and suppliers
  

• Reconciling bank accounts and credit card statements

• Managing cost tracking and financial analysis

• Providing general support to the Finance Manager as needed

• Issuing customer invoices and rebate claims accurately and on time

• Reconciling supplier rebates and managing payables

• Assisting with month-end and year-end financial close across multiple business entities

• Preparing BAS and handling intercompany recharge processes

What You'll Bring:

• Progress towards (or completion of) CPA or CA is highly regarded

• Experience in the construction or building industry is a plus but not essential

• Full Australian working rights

• At least 2 years of experience in a finance/accounts role
  
  
• Ability to stay organised, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively in a team

• Strong communication skills and the ability to build great relationships

• Solid skills in Excel and Microsoft 365 - experience with accounting software is a bonus
