The site and FIFO

This mine is located about 2hr flight from Perth and offers a long mine life as well as a great relationship with the principal miner on site. There is limited travel from the airstrip to camp and camp to site, being located only 3km apart.

• Accommodation on site - Permanent En-suite rooms
• Excellent Dry Mess and well managed Wet Mess
• Gym, swimming pool and other sporting facilities
• Large surface workshop with underground workshop for breakdowns and minor works.
• Charter flights

The role and duties

You will enjoy working in a team of specialist tradespeople working mainly on Toyota Land Cruisers and other ancillary machinery as well as assisting the heavy plant fitters where needed. Your duties will include;-

• 90% surface workshop maintenance duties - Including problem solving, diagnostics, servicing, general repairs, component changeouts including engine changeouts
• 10% field service breakdowns - Including breakdowns, fault finding, diagnostics
• Machinery - LV's, light trucks, gensets, lighting towers

Roster & hours

• 8/6 days, 7/7 nights - 12 hour shifts
• Fly to site in company time on day shift and your own time on night shift.
• FIFO from Perth, Geraldton and Busselton

About you

You will have experience working as an LV Mechanic and have a desire to forward your skills and experience in the UG mining industry. Other attributes will include; -

• Trade qualifications
• Open cut or UG mining experience (highly regarded, not essential)
• Good knowledge of Land Cruisers
• Team player and possess a great attitude towards work
